Yelito singles and scores on a hit by Al Vavra in the third inning to pull the winners within 3-2. Tamaqua scores the tying and go-ahead runs in the fifth on an RBI single by Ed Roman and a run-scoring double off the bat of Tom Frendak. Vavra earns the mound win, tossing all seven innings. After allowing three first-inning runs, he pitches shutout ball over the final six frames.
