Just before 9 a.m. Beltzville State Park posted that it reached capacity. According to social media reports, cars were lined up as of 3 a.m. for the Fourth of July.
When the gates opened, visitors are poured in.
State troopers and park rangers pulled over hundreds of vehicles searching for alcohol and writing violations for children not secured in their seats.
The gates were opened an hour early.
