Julie A. Fritz, 47, of Tuscarora, was injured in a four-vehicle crash at 4:34 p.m. June 29 on Interstate 79 in Upper Saucon Township.

State police at Fogelsville said she suffered minor injuries and was transported by personnel from the City of Allentown EMS unit to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill.

Police said she was driving a 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer that was involved in the incident. They said an unidentified vehicle and driver failed to slow down for slow-moving traffic and the vehicle struck the rear end of the Trailblazer. The impact pushed the Trailblazer into a 2021 Nissan Rogue operated by Aarsh T. Patel, 22, of Parsippany, New Jersey, pushing that vehicle into a 2017 Subaru Outback operated by Linda L. Cassetty, 75, of Easton.

Police said all of the drivers pulled their vehicle off the road while the driver of the striking vehicle reentered the interstate and fled the scene. The vehicle was reported to be a work pickup truck with the word “concrete” painted on its side.

Police said Fritz’s vehicle sustained disabling damages; the Rogue had major damages; and the Subaru had minor damages.
