Emergency dispatchers in Schuylkill County will be better able to respond to calls for help thanks to new software.
County commissioners on Wednesday approved an agreement with Prepared 911 of New York, New York, which provides dispatchers and emergency responders with the capability to view images, video, communications, transmissions, and the location of information from 911 callers. The cost is $8,500, and the agreement runs from July 1 to June 30, 2024.
Commissioners also renewed an agreement with Essentials Management Solutions in Pottsville for general consulting support services at $12,260 per month, and project management services at $7,000 per month. The cost reflects no increase.
The agreement also runs from July 1 to June 30, 2024.
