A Saylorsburg man is in prison after a standoff Tuesday afternoon in Ross Township.

At 12:50 p.m. troopers from the Lehighton state police barracks were dispatched to a residence on Meixsell Valley Road in Ross Township, Monroe County

for a report of an altercation within a residence.

The people involved in the altercation were within the residence but refused to exit.

The Pennsylvania State Police Special Emergency Response Team responded and after negotiation, both people voluntarily exited the home. Jason Cascioli, 51, was charged with simple assault and harassment and lodged in the Monroe County Correctional Facility.

Bail was set at $50,000.
