State police at the Fern Ridge barracks are investigating a theft by deception incident.

A 54-year-old Brodheadsville woman had $54,000 stolen from her by an unknown source.

Police said they were summoned at 3:51 p.m. June 22 to a home on Regency Lane, Chestnuthill Township, to investigate the incident.
