A former pastor has admitted to sexually assaulting three women when they were children, according to police.
Marvin Leroy Mosley, 43, of Milroy, Mifflin County, was charged by West Penn police with two felony counts of indecent assault of a child under the age of 13; two misdemeanor counts of sexual assault of a person under age 16; and two felony counts of corruption of minors when the defendant was at least 18 years old.
The sexual assault charges stem from 2007, and the corruption charges from 2010, according to court records.
Mosley was arraigned on June 20 before District Judge Andrew J. Serina, Orwigsburg, and jailed in Schuylkill County Prison under $100,000 straight bail. He secured the amount through a bail bondsman and was released the next day.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 2 p.m. July 18 before Serina.
According to court documents, one of the women, now 26, reported the crimes to police on April 27, saying Mosley sexually assaulted her and two others when they were children. The assaults continued over the course of 15 years. He was living in Andreas at the time, moved to Lehighton and then Mifflin County.
Police spoke with Mosley on May 8, and he admitted to assaulting the women, saying he was 28 and married when he committed the crimes.
He told Police Chief James E. Bonner he didn’t think anything was wrong with what he was doing.
