I-95 to open at noon Friday

Pennsylvania officials announced Thursday night that Interstate 95 is opening at noon Friday, ahead of schedule.

Gov. Josh Shapiro and Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Secretary Mike Carroll will officially reopen I-95 with a press conference at 10:30 a.m. at I-95 southbound at Cottman Ave.

Six lanes of traffic will be open.

The highway collapsed June 11 after a tractor-trailer fire comprised the road.
