Kunkletown church holds festival

Above: Nora Kern, 5, of Nazareth, left, and Natalie Roberts, 5, of Wayne, New Jersey, play a game of Tic-Tac-Toe during St. Matthew’s UCC’s annual Strawberry Festival and Car Show on Sunday in the church grove in Kunkletown. The day included worship, Brian Dean Moore Band, kiddie games, kiddie cake walk, breakfast, lunch and dessert in the food stands, a tricky tray with various prizes, and about 200 cars and trucks on display in the field.

Right: Cheryl Hummer, a St. Matthew’s UCC member, arranges pieces of shortcake on a tray as other volunteers around her serve “the works” - strawberries over shortcake and ice cream.

Bottom right: Gabrielle Bentley, a volunteer with St. Matthew’s Christian Education program, looks at the number on the bottom of Jacob Roman’s “Lucky Boat.” Each child picked a boat from the little pools and received a prize corresponding to that number. He is with his mother Agnes and older brother Christopher.
