State police at Frackville

State police at the Frackville barracks released details on incidents they investigated:

• A 57-year-old Tamaqua woman is the victim of an attempted burglary that happened between midnight and 12:19 a.m. May 11 on Church Street in Gilberton. Someone smashed the single-pane glass door of the residence in an attempted burglary.

• Eric Murphy, 35, and Cadence Hoover, 20, both of Jim Thorpe, were arrested on theft charges after an incident a 4:37 p.m. May 16 on Valley Street in New Philadelphia.

Police said they responded to a report of trespassing and a stolen trail camera and their investigation showed the actors were captured by another camera leading to their identification.

The stolen trail camera had a value of $90, police said.

• Police said a Tamaqua man was charged with retail theft/shoplifting after he and another suspect stole three television sets from the Walmart store in Hometown between 11:40 a.m. and 12:3 p.m. May 29.

Police said Isaiah Blankson, 22, and another person left the store with two 75-inch ONN televisions and one ONN television mount without paying for the merchandise. Police said they fled the scene in a black Chrysler Pacifica in an unknown direction.

Police said Blankson was identified and arrested.

The TVs are worth $498 each and the mount is valued at $20.69, police said.
