Ron Costenbader leads off the ninth with a walk and moves to second on a wild pitch with one out. Shiner then delivers his game-winning hit. Del Fisher goes the distance to earn the win. Fisher allows seven hits and strikes out 12. John Kresge collects two hits - one a triple - and scores two runs for Palmerton, managed by Earl Silliman. Bruce Snyder adds a pair of hits, a run and an RBI.
