Mahoning supervisor resigns

Mahoning Township has a vacancy on its board of supervisors.

The board on a 4-0 vote Wednesday accepted the resignation of Supervisor Brian Reeser.

Reeser resigned because he is moving out of the township. He served on the board since 2020.

The board has 30 days to fill the open seat. The replacement will serve until the end of 2024.

The board’s next meeting is 6 p.m. July 12.

Also on Wednesday, the board announced there is a vacancy on the township’s planning commission.

That was caused by the resignation of planning commission member Jonathan Schneider.
