Repairs to the railroad crossing near the Five Points intersection in Tamaqua will resume beginning at 7 a.m. Thursday.

The Reading, Blue Mountain & Northern Railroad began removing the damaged concrete panels around the tracks and paving the crossing on Tuesday.

There will be no work today due to inclement weather, the borough said.

Travel on West Broad Street will be restricted to one lane, and the entire road may be closed for periods of time for the construction.

Those traveling on routes 209 and 309 in Tamaqua should expect delays between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Thursday.
