State police at Fogelsville — crashes

State police at Fogelsville report on the following incidents:

• A 39-year-old Tamaqua man is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after state police at the Fogelsville barracks responded to a disabled motorist report at 2:58 a.m. May 18.

It happened at the intersection of Route 100 and Beechwood Street in Lowhill Township.

Police said a passenger in the vehicle was also found to have an active warrant against him/her in Northampton County.

• Daeqwona Williams Jones, 30, of Nesquehoning, was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 6:11 p.m. April 15 on Interstate 78 in South Whitehall Township.

Police said the extent of her injuries is unknown. She was treated at the scene by personnel from the Cetronia Ambulance Corps but was not transported to a medical facility.

Police said she was driving a 2017 Infiniti westbound when it crashed, resulting in disabling damages that required the car to be towed from the scene.

• Richard G. Rudolph III, 21, of Schnecksville, was cited with failure to drive at a safe speed after a one-vehicle crash at 5:34 a.m. May 20 on Schochary Road in Lynn Township.

Police said he was driving a 2016 Cadillac northbound when it traveled off the east shoulder of the road and struck and sheared off a utility pole.

Police said Rudolph left the scene without calling police.

Police said the pole required complete repair. The crash also resulted in damage to the lawn area at 6495 Schochary Road, police said.

• Roger K. Peachey III, 30, of Reading, suffered minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 10:11 p.m. May 8 on Sunset Drive in Weisenberg Township.

State police at the Fogelsville barracks said he was transported by personnel from the Cetronia Ambulance Corps to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

Police said he was driving a 2018 GMC that lost control on a curve in the roadway, struck a fence and concrete barrier. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Police said Peachey wad cited for failure to drive at a safe speed.

• John J. Jackman, 48, of Wallingford, was cited for “obedience to traffic control devices” after a two-vehicle crash at 5:07 p.m. June 1 at the intersection of Route 39 and Mountain Road in Lynn Township.

Police said he was driving a 2012 Toyota Rav4 west on Mountain Road and failed to safely clear the intersection, proceeding through it and being struck by a 2013 Subaru Impreza driven by Harli Lynn Frantz, 24, of Weatherly. Police said both vehicles had disabling damages and were towed from the scene.

Police said Frantz sustained suspected minor injuries and was transported by personnel from the Cetronia Ambulance Corps to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. Jackman sustained possible injuries but was not transported from the scene, police said.

• Alex W. Dougherty, 21, of Fogelsville, escaped injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 10:45 p.m. May 20 on Mulberry Road in Lowhill Township.

Police said he was driving a 2017 Honda CRV southbound too fast for roadway conditions when it left the travel lane and struck a tree, then sliding down a steep embankment before coming to a halt.

The car had disabling damages and was towed from the scene.

Police said Dougherty was cited for the crash.
