State police at Fern Ridge - incidents
State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported on the following incidents:
• Police were summoned to a criminal mischief incident at 1:58 p.m. May 18 in Penn Forest Township. A 62-year-old Jim Thorpe man on the 400 block of Unionville Road reported someone damaged his mailbox. The estimated damages are $75, police said.
• Tishown Ragland, 27, of Cresco, was cited with harassment after they were called to a domestic disturbance at 7:42 a.m. May 22 at a property on Flowertown Road in Jackson Township.
He was in a fight with a 28-year-old woman from Stroudsburg.
• Police are investigating the theft of a motorcycle from Chestnuthill Township.
A 33-year-old man from Kunkletown called police at 5:59 p.m. May 31 to the scene along Warner Drive in Chestnuthill Township.
The man told police he was attempting to sell the blue 2022 Suzuki GSXS but noticed it was missing.
• Cheryl Brink, 57, of Blakeslee, was cited after police were called at 3:11 p.m. May 30 to a property at the intersection of Poplar Creek Lane and Service Road in Chestnuthill Township.
A 37-year-old Effort woman told them Brink went onto her property without being invited to do so and tossed multiple items onto it before leaving the scene.
• Two Chestnuthill Township businesses have been cited for false alarms/dialing devices.
Police said Tractor Supply Co., 1580 State Route 209, was cited after police were called there for the ninth time between Oct. 5, 2022, and May 18 of this year and Dunkin’ Donuts, 3198 Route 115 was cited after police were called there for the 12th time between May 2022 and June 2 of this year.
• An 18-year-old Effort man is facing drug possession charges after a traffic stop at 10:43 p.m. May 19.
Police said they stopped him for Motor Vehicle Code violations in a 2017 Volkswagen GTI at the intersection of Jonas Road and Galaxy Way in Chestnuthill Township and determined he was in possession of a controlled substance.
He was also cited for not complying with the ignition interlock component of the suspension of the GTI, police said.
• A 53-year-old Saylorsburg man is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under the influence of a controlled substance after a traffic stop.
Police stopped him for an expired inspection sticker on the 2015 Ford Explorer he was driving at the intersection of Route 940 and Buck Boulevard in Tobyhanna Township. He was found to be in possession of drugs. Police said he failed a standardized field sobriety test and was taken into custody, submitting to a blood draw.
