State police at Bethlehem - thefts

State police at the Bethlehem barracks reported on several thefts:

• Police are investigating a burglary that happened between 5 p.m. April 20 and 8:30 a.m. April 21 at Alan’s U-Pull In, 4245 Hilldale Road, Washington Township.

Police said the actor(s) gained entry to a locked trailer at the property and stole approximately $500 in cash, a book of checks and credit card information that were stored in a drawer inside the trailer.

• A 54-year-old Slatington man is the victim of a theft. Police said they were called at 5:10 p.m. April 9 to 7185 Kingstead Drive, Washington Township, where they were told someone took the man’s items while he was incarcerated. Police said the suspect was the victim’s girlfriend, who had permission to be in the residence.

• Police are investigating a theft by deception case with 60-year-old woman from New Tripoli is the victim.

Police said they were called at 12:10 a.m. May 5 to a residence on Vixen Court, Heidelberg Township, where the woman said someone opened a Bank of America account in her name.

• Police are investigating the theft of a woman’s purse from a vehicle in Heidelberg Township. A 22-year-old woman from Clifton, Virginia, who reported the incident at 7:07 a.m. May 20.

Police said it happened at the intersection of Bake Oven and Ulrich roads when someone broke into the victim’s Kia Soul by smashing the rear driver’s side window. The steering wheel housing unit and ignition were also tampered with, police said.

The purse contained the victim’s driver’s license, debit, medical, military and vaccine cards and about $50 in cash, police said.

• Police said someone dumped trash into a dumpster rented by someone else, Police said they were called at 11:58 a.m. May 20 to the 3000 block of East Grant Street, Washington Township, Lehigh County. The incident happened between May 13 and 20.
