State police at Lehighton
State police at Lehighton reported on the following incidents:
• Keith McFarland, 69, of Palmerton, was committed to the Carbon County Prison, Nesquehoning, after police responded to an assault incident at 4:52 p.m. May 15.
Police said they were called to Gun Club Road, Towamensing Township, where the victim suffered injuries to the upper lip from the assault.
They said McFarland was taken into custody without incident and charged with simple assault and harassment.
• Matthew Williams, 46, of Greentown, was lodged in the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville, after police responded to a warrant service matter at 4:56 p.m. May 50.
Police said he was apprehended at 818 Interchange Road, Polk Township, on a warrant. Police said he committed a firearms act violation.
• A 54-year-old Jim Thorpe woman reported a theft by deception to police at midnight April 30 and then declined to prosecute the accused, police said.
They were summoned to a property on Church Road in Penn Forest Township where the woman reported a suspect created a short term rental advertisement listing the victim’s residence and using the suspect’s bank account information. Police said the victim is not out any money because of the incident.
• Police cited a 41-year-old Palmerton man for harassment by physical contact after they responded to a domestic incident at midnight May 14.
It happened at Golf and Fireline roads in Lower Towamensing Township.
Police said the victim is a 42-year-old woman from Palmerton.
• A 26-year-old Lehighton man and a 31-year-old Nesquehoning man were charged with harassment after a fight.
It happened at 11:10 p.m. May 7 on Laurel Spring Road in East Penn Township.
• Police are investigating a harassment by physical contact incident in which a 17-year-old boy from Kunkletown is the victim.
Police said they were called at 8 p.m. May 3 to a property on Catalpa Drive, Polk Township, to investigate the incident.
• Police cited PW JW PA Properties LLC, 270 Lower Middle Creek Road, Polk Township, for a false alarm violation after they were summoned there at 4:55 a.m. May 4.
Police said the business had more than three false alarms in a 12-month period.
• Police said a 33-year-old Parryville man is facing terroristic threats charges after they received a report from his wife about an incident on Centre Street in Parryville Borough.
Police said at 5:29 p.m. May 4 the woman went to their barracks to report threats her husband made.
• Police charged Billyjoe Dean, 49, of Wharton, New Jersey, with criminal trespass and simple trespass after an incident at 6:32 p.m. May 27 on the200 block of Chestnut Drive South, Ross Township.
Police said he was at the residence for the purpose of threatening or terrorizing the owner of the premises.
• A 75-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman, both from Saylorsburg, were charged with simple assault after they were summoned at 9:38 p.m. May 7 to an incident on the 9000 block of Interchange Road, Towamensing Township.
Police said they engaged in a physical altercation with each other “via mutual combat and harassment.”
