New Tripoli restaurant burglarized

State police at Bethlehem are investigating a burglary that was discovered at 3:41 a.m. Friday at Katie’s Family Restaurant, Route 309, Heidelberg Township, New Tripoli.

Police said the break-in was through a sliding service window and that a cash register valued at $300 and two lockboxes valued at $200 each were stolen. Police said the register contained $400 in cash and the lockboxes had $500 in cash in each of them.

Police said the business is equipped with surveillance cameras, however, because of technical difficulties the footage has not yet been reviewed.
