The fight against a proposed soil-incinerator in East Penn Township continues, as approximately 50 area residents turned out for a meeting of the Blue Mountain Environmental Coalition last night.

The Coalition's main concerns are for the potential effects of human activities and health, wildlife and the environment that the incinerator would cause.The proposed site for construction is a large sand quarry at the north base of Bake Oven Knob, and the incinerator would be used for burning soils contaminated with hydrocarbons.
