Tamaqua Seniors
The Tamaqua Senior Citizens met on May 18 with 25 members in attendance. The meeting was opened with the reading “It Only Takes A Minute.”
New member Eileen Keich was given a warm welcome by the group. Grace Sakusky, Nancy Eisley and Sarah Huber were added to the sick list.
The group meets at 1 p.m. every Thursday at the Coaldale Complex. Anyone 55 and older is invited to attend.
Calvary Lewistown
Sunday school will be held at 9:15 a.m. There will be a combined Memorial Day worship celebration with Zion Church, followed by a gun salute on the cemetery. A luncheon will follow at the social hall of Zion. Bring a covered dish and dessert to share. There will be no evening service this week. Prayer and share is 7 p.m. on May 31.
Upcoming activities: A celebration and recognition of graduates with speaker Ellie McCarthy will be held at the 10:25 a.m. service on June 4.
Child Evangelism Fellowship Day Camp at Lewistown Valley Tabernacle for ages child entering first grade (completed kindergarten) to those entering seventh grade (completed sixth grade) from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 26 to 30. For information and registration, call 570-544-8042.

Zion Lewistown
The Zion Men will meet at 8 a.m. in Memorial Hall this Saturday.
Pastor Jim Williams will deliver the message at the combined 10:30 a.m. worship service with Calvary Evangelical Church. Sunday school is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. There will be a covered dish dinner immediately following the service in the social hall.
Free Concert
Shafer’s Pharmacy is sponsoring a free concert by the Cressona Band at 7 p.m. on May 31 at the Tamaqua Train Station. Bring your lawn chairs.
American Primitive
