Two homes were heavily damaged by fire this afternoon in Mahanoy City. Fire broke out shortly after 2 p.m. at 1028 East Market Street quickly spreading to 1036. When fire officials arrived on scene they found flames pouring from the second floor windows. Fire companies from throughout Schuylkill County responded. No injuries were reported in the incident. A state police fire marshal was on scene.
