Lehighton’s Alison Semanoff captures an individual and team first at the meet. Semanoff wins the javelin with a throw of 118-3, and combines with Tonya Klotz, Shawnee Serfass and Denele Brozino to take the 400 relay in a school-record time of 50.6. The Indians’ Chad Wentz crosses first in the 1600 in 4:27.5, while Northwestern’s Tiffany Cougle is golden in the 200 with a time of 26.1. The other first comes from the Pleasant Valley boys 1600 relay team of Jay Griffin, Jamie Robinson, Rich Walkens and Nick Konawalik, who break the tape in 3:26.1.
