Three people were hurt in a two-vehicle crash at 12:10 p.m. April 30 on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
It happened at mile marker 67 in Washington Township, according to state police at the Pocono barracks.
The injured were Karen L. Williams, 61, of Stevensville, and Amanda M. Broody, 34, of Millville, the drivers of the vehicles, and a 12-year-old girl from Chester who was a passenger with Williams.
Police said all three were transported by personnel from the Cetronia and Lehighton ambulances corps to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
They said the drivers sustained minor injuries and that the severity of the girl’s injuries is not known.
The crash happened during heavy rainfall, police said.
They said Williams’ 2017 Infiniti lost control in the left lane of northbound travel, causing it to spin out and crash into the side of a 2016 Ford F-150 truck driven by Broody. Police said the truck spun counterclockwise and crashed into the concrete barrier head-on.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
Police said Williams was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed.
