Music maker help

The residents at Mrs. Bush’s in Kunkletown, would like to do a once a month hymn sing on the fourth Wednesday of each month from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Anyone who plays the piano or know someone who plays and may be interested in volunteering for a month or a few months, is asked to contact Carrie Shafer, ADC. Community Life director at Mrs. Bush’s Personal Care Home’s office at 610-381-1009 for particulars.

Conservation Camp

Monroe County Conservation District and Monroe County Federation of Sportsmen’s Clubs are sponsoring a residential Conservation Camp focusing on teens ages 14 through 2023 high school graduates.

It is being held from July 15 through Saturday, July 22, and is generously supported by the Kettle Creek Environmental Fund and numerous service organizations.

A highlight is an overnight canoe trip on the Delaware River.

VBS announced

Effort UMC will hold its Vacation Bible School from June 25 through June 30. The theme is Babylon, Daniel’s Courage in Captivity.

On Sunday, the classes will be from 12:30 to 3 p.m., and on Monday through Friday, the classes will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m. evenings.

Our Lady Queen of Peace Church has announced its Vacation Bible School with the theme Rocky Railway for July 24 through July 28 from 9 a.m. to noon. The theme is: Rocky Railway - Jesus’ Power Pulls Us Through.

The preschoolers class is open to age 4, only those who are trained. Otherwise it is open for young folks through sixth grade. Older youth may volunteer. For costs and other information, including volunteering and for a registration form, contact the church.
