Letter to the Editor: Supports Zeigler for Carbon County Sheriff

I am writing to endorse candidate Daniel G. Zeigler for Carbon County Sheriff.

Daniel is currently serving as the Carbon County Sheriff and has performed exceptionally well in all of his duties in that role. A son of Carbon County, Sheriff Zeigler is a graduate of Panther Valley High School and went on to obtain a bachelor’s degree in Administration of Justice from the Pennsylvania State University and a master’s degree in Public Administration from DeVry University.

Prior to joining the Carbon County’s Sheriff’s Office, Sheriff Zeigler most recently worked for the Northampton County Sheriff’s Department, where he was assigned to the Field Operations Unit for six years. Sheriff Zeigler has an extensive background in the Juvenile Justice System, having held executive level positions for several agencies in Pennsylvania and New York state from 1998-2012. In 2020, Sheriff Zeigler was hired as Captain of the Carbon County Sheriff’s Office and was then promoted to the position of Chief Deputy in November of 2020, where he served until becoming Acting Sheriff in January of 2022.

Sheriff Zeigler has a proven impeccable work record and is extremely qualified to hold the position of Carbon County Sheriff. I think it is clear, without a doubt that he should continue to serve in this important office in Carbon County. We all have an important choice to make in the upcoming Primary and General Elections in 2023. I hope that you will join me in support of Sheriff Daniel G. Zeigler.
