A 45-year-old Orwigsburg woman lost $1,900 in an internet scam.

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks said they were summoned at 1:35 p.m. April 7 to a property on Elm Lane, Deer Lake. The woman told them she received an email from Amazon and paid an unknown man the $1,900 through an Apple gift card.
