CCTI students pitch in to clean Kemmerer Park

On April 18, students and staff from Carbon Career & Technical Institute participated in a clean up at Kemmerer Park in Jim Thorpe in celebration of Earth Day.

Students from all organizations participated in the cleanup.

The project began last school year during Career & Technical Education Month (February) and continued into this school year.

The students removed many of bags filled with leaves and debris from the park.

“I always tell the students how much fun you have and how good you feel being part of the solution” said Becky Schaeffer, adviser for SADD/Aevidum.
