During a ceremony this morning at the Lehighton Post Office, John F. Crowley was the recipient of a Special Postal People Award in recognition of “efforts beyond the call of duty in bringing credit to the U.S. Postal Service.”

The presentation was made by Postmaster Margaret Ovsak in the name of W.G. Bolger, Regional Postmaster General. Ovsak said, “John is a person who is admired and held in high esteem by all who know him, but especially those with whom he works and is associated in his many and varied activities.”

Crowley lives in Lehighton, with his wife, Marie, and sons, William and Edward.
