State police at Lehighton - thefts
State police at the Lehighton barracks reported on the following:
• A 47-year-old Lansford man is charged with burglary after police responded to an incident at 1:43 a.m. April 5 on North Walnut Street.
A 40-year-old woman reported the man broke down a door and entered her residence. He was taken into custody after the report was received.
• Police were summoned at 7:59 a.m. April 4 to a residence in the 100 block of Chestnut Drive South, Ross Township, to investigate an identity theft case.
Police said the victim is a 33-year-old man from Saylorsburg.
• A 24-year-old Saylorsburg woman is the victim of a theft. Police said they were called to Hillside Lane in Chestnuthill Township at 1:09 p.m. April 3 to investigate the incident.
• Police are investigating a retail theft/shoplifting incident reported to them at 4:31 p.m. March 22.
Police said a woman believed to be between 30-49 years of age shoplifted about $200 worth of hardware from Country Junction, 6565 Interchange Road, Towamensing Township at about 11:30 a.m. that day.
• Police are investigating the theft of tools and a freezer from a home in the 700 block of Hahns Dairy Road in Lower Towamensing Township.
A 46-year-old Palmerton man, reported the incident at 2:27 p.m. March 27 and identified a 51-year-old New Tripoli man as a suspect.
• Police said they were summoned to Forest inn Masonry, Towamensing Township, at 11:21 a.m. March 27 to investigate a theft involving charges on a credit card.
• Police are investigating the theft of tools from a residence on Tar Run Road, Towamensing Township. Police said they were called at 10:40 a.m. April 8.
The victim is a 51-year-old Lehighton resident.
• Police are investigating a theft incident reported to them at 9 a.m. April 7.
A 60-year-old Palmerton man reported the theft took place in the 300 block of South Fireline Road in Lower Towamensing Township.
