State police at Hazleton said Ashley Sist, 37, no address listed, was committed to the Carbon County Correctional Facility after an incident at 5:30 p.m. April 4.

Police were called to a property at Jeansville Road and Café Court in Hazle Township for a report of a suspicious person and located the person at in Banks Township. While there, police said, Sist was observed and known to have active warrants out of Luzerne and Carbon counties for failure to appear for court hearings.

Police said while attempting to take Sist into custody, she resisted arrest. After taking her into custody police found marijuana, an unknown pill and drug paraphernalia in her possession.
