Slatington Woman's Club announces September's Girl of the Month

Slatington Woman's Club has announced that Morgan Grace Farber is its September Girl of the Month.

Morgan is a senior at Northern Lehigh Area High School where she has played field hockey for four years and is a member of the track and field team for two years. She has been a member of the Student Council for four years (vice president in senior year), the

S.A.D.D. Club for two years and a class officer for four years (freshman, historian; sophomore, vice president; junior and senior, secretary.)She has been on the principal's list and/or honor roll in her freshman, sophomore and junior years and is a National Honor Society member.Morgan is her church's youth group president at Good Shepherd UCC, and she volunteers with the group at the Northern Lehigh Food Bank. She assists with the Angel 34 Foundation, a pediatric cancer foundation sponsored by the field hockey team and helps with fundraisers for the foundation. She volunteers at the Special Olympics with the National Honor Society.After graduation, she plans to attend a four-year college, majoring in biology with the long-term goal of attending medical school and specializing in pediatric oncology.Morgan is the daughter of Chris and Janice Farber of Slatington. She has an older sister, Taylor, who is a junior at Bloomsburg University.
