Fourteen first time offenders in the criminal justice system were placed in Carbon County's Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition (ARD) probation program on Tuesday by county judges.

If a person successfully completes all conditions of the program their record is wiped clean. However, if they fail to complete it, or are revoked from it, then the Commonwealth reserves the right to prosecute them on all pending charges. A person does not admit guilt in entering the program.All were placed for a year, unless otherwise noted.Placed by President Judge Roger N. Nanovic II were:Joshua Paul Hackman, 27, of Northampton, on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. He was arrested on Dec. 27, 2011, along SR248 by state police at Lehighton.He was assessed $350 for the program and ordered to get a drug and alcohol (D&A) evaluation and follow any recommendation for treatment, zero tolerance imposed on D&A use, and render three hours of community service per month while in the program.James Edward Parsons, 24, of Palmerton, was placed on a driving under the influence (DUI) charge. He was arrested on April 20 along Trachsville Hill Road, in Townamensing Township, by state police at Lehighton. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.He was assessed $450, ordered to get a D&A evaluation, license suspended for 60 days, and render three hours of community service per month while in the program.Garrett Thomas Petritsch, 43, of Andreas, was placed on charges of DUI and possession of a small amount of marijuana. He was arrested on April 20 along Canal St., in Franklin Township, by state police at Lehighton. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.He was assessed $450, ordered to get a D&A evaluation, zero tolerance on D&A use, license suspended for 60 days, and render three hours of community service per month while in the program.Randi Alexandria Solt, 24, of Lehighton, was placed on a theft charge. She was arrested on Oct. 1, 2011, by Franklin Township police for an incident in which Richelle M. Bergdahl, was the listed victim.She was assessed $350, and ordered to get a D&A evaluation, zero tolerance on D&A use, make restitution to the victim in an amount to be determined by the adult probation office, and render three hours of community service per month while in the program.The following were placed by Judge Steven R. Serfass.Timothy Andrew, 36, of Lehighton, was placed on a DUI charge. He was arrested on March 7 along Bridge St., in Lehighton, by state police at Lehighton. Given at test, the result was .14BAC.He was assessed $450, and ordered to get a D&A evaluation, license suspended for 30 days, and render 50 hours of community service.Robert D. Beswick, 29, of Lewisburg, Union County, was placed on a DUI charge. He was arrested on June 24 along SR443 in Lehighton by state police at Lehighton. Given a test, the result was .16BAC.He was assessed $450, ordered to get a D&A evaluation, license suspended 60 days, and render 50 hours of community service.Courtney Ann Blewis, 18, of Frackville, was placed for six months on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. She was arrested on July 3 along W. Fourth St., by Jim Thorpe police.She was assessed $350, and ordered to get a D&A evaluation, and render 25 hours of community service.Jonathan Emerich, 20, of Frackville, was placed for six months on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. He was arrested on July 3 along W. Fourth St., by Jim Thorpe police. He was arrested on Nov. 1, 2011, along Blakeslee Blvd., by Mahoning Township police. Given a test, the results showed the presence of a controlled substance.He was assessed $450, ordered to get a D&A evaluation, license suspended for 90 days, and render 25 hours of community service.Jeremy R. Cox, 33, of Lehighton, was placed on a DUI charge. He was arrested on May 27 along Bridge St., in Lehighton, by state police at Lehighton. Herman, 26, of Lehighton, was placed on charges of DUI and possession of a small amount of marijuana. He was arrested on Feb. 18 along Bridge St., Lehighton, by state police at Lehighton. Given a test, the result shows the presence of a controlled substance.He was assessed $450, ordered to get a D&A evaluation, license suspended for 60 days, and render 50 hours of community service.John M. Jasinsky, 44, of Barnesville, was placed on a DUI charge. He was arrested on April 18 along Broadway, by Jim Thorpe police. Given a test, the result showed the presence of a controlled substance.He was assessed $450, ordered to get a D&A evaluation, license suspended for 60 days, and render 50 hours of community service.Barbara Jane Lambert, 28, of Weissport, was placed on a false report-falsely incrimiating another. Schleicher, 24, of Lehighton, was placed on a DUI charge. She was arrested on May 26 along Bridge St., Lehighton, by state police at Lehighton. Given a test, the result was .11BAC.She was assessed $400, ordered to get a D&A evaluation, license suspended for 30 days, and render 50 hours of community service.All those place must also pay court costs, which average about $1,000, and pay a $50 per monthh supervision fee while in the program.
