State police at the Lehighton barracks said a car struck another one on Mountain View Road in Polk Township at 4:59 p.m. March 21 and left the scene.

Police said a 17-year-old girl from Jim Thorpe was driving a 2007 Ford Fusion east and was attempting to turn left into a driveway when the unknown vehicle struck the Focus from behind and the driver left the scene.

The girl was not injured and her vehicle sustained minimal damages, police said.
