Patricia Ann Matta, 18, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Matta of 535 E. Abbott St., Lansford, was crowned Miss Panther Valley 1975 in the second annual event sponsored Saturday night at the Panther Valley High School by the Panther Valley Chamber of Commerce.

She was crowned by Susan Yushko, Miss Panther Valley 1974, following the competition that included seven contestants.

The recent winner of the Carbon County Oratorical Contest, Miss Matta’s dramatic presentation of “The School Play” by Jerry Owen was enthusiastically received by more than 800 spectators at the event.
