I am writing to comment on Jarrad Hedes entitled article, “Palmerton School Board to Stop Streaming Meetings (April 5 edition). Wake up Palmerton taxpayers! Your school board has made it abundantly clear that they hold you in contempt.

The decision by the board to end streaming their meetings further proves how out-of-control all levels of government have become. Hold them accountable!

Sherry Haas, school director doesn’t think your opinion or insight is even worth $1,000. However, the same board has no problem renewing Superintendent Jodi Frankelli’s contract at $145,000. A $20,000 increase from 2020. In addition, her contract features a 3.5% increase for the next five years through 2028. Basic numbers ... she stands to make over $170,000 by 2028 which doesn’t include benefits. Wake-up Palmerton ... that’s $47,000-plus of your money this board has squandered on one administrator.

Ms. Haas and this board have no regard for their constituents or transparency; even at a mere sum of $1,000. Hold them accountable at election time. Vote them out! Demand school choice and end the oppressive nature of public schools in Pennsylvania.
