April 14, 1983 - Northern Lehigh and Palmerton split its Centennial League track meet with the Bulldog boys posting an 81-74 victory and the Blue Bomber girls gaining a 104-36 win. Derrick Fatzinger and Darren Evans both capture three events to pace Nolehi’s triumph. Fatzinger takes the sprints - 100, 200 and 400 - while Evans excels in field events - high jump, triple jump, pole vault. Chad Miller also aids the Bulldog cause with two wins (shot put, discus). In the girls meet, Lori Moyer (100, 110 hurdles), Georgianna Messinger (800, 1600) and Karyn Dakan (discus, javelin) all win two events to pace the Palmerton girls.
