A woman was rescued from a remote area of Mauch Chunk Lake Thursday night. Around 8 p.m. calls came in to the Carbon Communications center of a woman on the far side of the lake at boat launch B yelling for help. Fire companies from throughout Carbon County as well as dive teams were dispatched to the scene. The woman was found by dive team members on boats. The victim was brought to shore and treated by Lehighton paramedics.
