Five seats are open on the Northern Lehigh School Board in next month’s primary election.
Candidates seeking four-year terms include incumbents Matthias Green and Gale N. Husack, both of whom cross-filed, Republicans Robert Kern Jr., Donna Kulp and Natalie S. Snyder, along with newcomers Angela Williams and Glenn A. Williams, both of whom cross-filed.
The board also has two 2-year terms up for grabs for which Republican Rhonda Frantz is the candidate.
Slatington Borough
Four seats are up for grabs on Slatington Borough Council. Candidates include Democrats Kris Burek, Thomas Bartholomew and Ryan E. Mayberry, while Republicans are Kevin Steckel, David R. Schnaars and Walter Niedermeyer.
There is also a 2-year term for tax collector, but no one is running.
Walnutport Borough
Three four-year terms are up for grabs on Walnutport Borough Council. Candidates include incumbents Michael Gaston, David Stankovic and Harold C. Greene.
Washington Township
Republicans Thomas F. Dengler and Tim O’Brian are seeking a term on the Washington Township board of supervisors.
There is also an auditor position, but there are no candidates.
