Two promoted in Schuylkill County gov’t

Two local women who work for Schuylkill County have been promoted.

Information released at a Salary Board meeting Wednesday included that Megan Felty of Walker Township was promoted from assessment program tech to administrative assessor as of April 10. She’ll earn $18.98 an hour.

Holly Mack of Rush Township was promoted from secretary 2 to probation aide as of March 27. She’ll earn $19.37 an hour.

Maureen Berdanier, Pottsville, was promoted from clerk 3 to probation aide as of March 27. She’ll earn $19.74 an hour.

Also, a Coaldale man, Francisco Rodriguez Jr., resigned from his job as a corrections officer as of March 31.

In other personnel matters, Kaitlyn Faust of Schuylkill Haven was terminated from her job as secretary 1 in Domestic Relations.

Resignations included Denise Webber, Schuylkill Haven from her job as a caseworker 1 for the Children and Youth Services Agency as of March 15; Caitlyn Lyons, Hegins Township, from her job as an aging care manager 2 with the Office of Senior Services as of April 6; Shawnna Anastacio, Mahanoy City, from her job as a telecommunication trainee with 911/Communications as of March 23; Herbert Rubright from his job as a deputy coroner/investigator with the Coroner’s Office as of March 20.

Two employees retired. James Schweikert, Pottsville, from his job as a maintenance worker as of March 24, and Darlene Needs, Wayne Township, from her job as a system specialist with the MIS Department as of April 10.

Needs will continue on a per day basis at $46.80 an hour.

Hires included Robert Cazonie as a caseworker 1 with Children and Youth at $20.33 an hour as of April 10, and Thomas Moucheron as a senior programmer/analyst with the MIS Department as of April 24.

The county Salary Board approved raises for four security guards.

Thomas Dolbrosky, New Philadelphia, a security guard, will earn $15 an hour; and security guards 2 Michael Breznik, West Mahaonoy Township; John Morgan, Frackville; and Elizabeth Raibeck, Schuylkill Haven, will each earn $18 an hour.
