State police at Lehighton said the driver of a 2012 Ford Escape who they observed committing several Motor Vehicle Code violations at 1:47 a.m. April 3 fled the scene in a chase.

The chase lasted about 4 miles before police ended the pursuit.

It happened at the intersection of Route 209 and Chestnut Lane where police attempted to make the traffic stop.
