A Tamaqua man who told police he didn’t care if he got arrested for playing loud music was charged with that offense on April 2.
Police cited Jean Carlos Mendoza Collozo, 26, Market Street, following a noise complaint received at 8:10 p.m. Officers said they were able to hear the music outside.
Police spoke to Mendoza Collozo and asked him to turn down the music but said he was very uncooperative and argumentative. Police said he told them that he didn’t care who could hear his music and he didn’t care if he got arrested. He also told officers that he had just moved from Allentown to Tamaqua, and said “it is a lot worse down there with people getting killed on the street” and that he didn’t care about loud music, police said.
Officers tried to explain that some residents work the third shift and need to sleep during the day, but again, Mendoza Collozo said he didn’t care about his neighbors or the community.
When told he would be receiving a citation, he said he did not care.
