Pleasant Valley picked up victories in softball, baseball and girls track on Monday.

SOFTBALL

Pleasant Vy.-ES North

Pleasant Valley pounded East Stroudsburg North for a 22-0 Eastern Pennsylvania Conference win.

Hailey Krock, Aryn Stivala, Lydia Borger and Brianca Pridham all doubled in the three-inning victory for the Bears (3-3), who pushed across 15 runs in the third inning. Pridham (three runs score) and Stivala (two runs scored) each finished with three RBIs, while Danica Getz had two RBIs and a pair of runs scored with two hits. Kailyn Getz, who started and had five strikeouts in two innings pitched, collected two hits and also scored twice.

Panther Vy.-EEA

Mikayla Yuricheck’s walk-off home run in the bottom of the seventh inning lifted Panther Valley to a 9-8 non-league win over Executive Education Academy.

Yuricheck had a huge day for the Panthers as she belted a double and two home runs, knocked in three runs and scored three.

Also contributing offensively for PV were Morgan Orsulak (three hits, three runs scored, one RBI); Morgan O’Brien (home run, two RBIs, two runs scored); Kyla McQuillen (double, run scored); and Ava Alabovitz: (one hit, one RBI).

Bangor-Northwestern

Northwestern stayed unbeaten with a 9-5 Colonial League win over Bangor.

Marissa Christman (2-for-4) hit a two-run homer in a four-run fourth inning that helped the Tigers (7-0) go ahead 9-5. Sage Toman was 3-for-4 with a double, while Rylee McGinley (two stolen bases) and Isabelle Akelaitis (double) each had two hits and scored twice.

Jade Hendricks and Brook Hermanski each hit solo homers for the Slaters (3-3). Kristina Langdon was 4-for-4 with a double and triple, and Kaylynn Figurski added a double and run scored.

Morghan Davies was 2-for-4 with two RBIs for the Spartans (3-2). Isabella Germani was 2-for-3 with an RBI, and Lila Padden also added a pair of hits.

Emily Christopher was 1-for-2 with a walk for the Blue Bombers (3-3).

Tri-Valley-Weatherly

Emma Maurer’s big day at the plate and in the circle highlighted undefeated Tri-Valley’s 17-0 four inning win over Weatherly.

Maurer was 3-for-3 with two doubles, three RBIs and a run scored for the Bulldogs (4-0). She also struck out six, allowed one hit and one walk in two-and-two-thirds of an inning in the circle. Brittany Rice added a home run and finished with two hits, three RBIs and three runs scored. Grace Header (two RBIs, three runs scored), Gianna Poletti (two RBIs, run scored) and Cassidey Snyder (run scored) also finished with two hits in the win.

Kelly Michaels had a hit for the Wreckers (3-2).

Pleasant Valley cruised to a 14-3 non-league win in five innings over Northern Lehigh.

Nathan Loch doubled with three RBIs and scored three times for the Bears (3-4), while Jack Smale tripled with two RBIs and a run scored. Anden Bordick also doubled and had an RBI and a run scored.

Jack Tosh doubled with two RBIs for the Bulldogs (1-6), who also got an extra base hit from Jackson Van Norman.

A pair of runs in the bottom of the sixth inning lifted Tamaqua to a 7-5 non-league win over Schuylkill Valley.

Luke Kane had a hit and an RBI to score Lucas Milot in the inning for the Blue Raiders (3-1). Kane finished with two RBIs, while Milot also had a hit, an RBI and a run scored. Wyatt Steigerwalt and Lucas Kamant each had a hit and an RBI, while Chase Andrews doubled with two runs scored and Cian McLaughlin knocked in a run and had a hit.

Colby Crills had two hits and an RBI for Schuylkill Valley, while Elijah Houser had a hit and two RBIs, and Caden Kline finished with a hit and knocked in two runs. Matthew Grumbling also doubled and scored a run.

Southern Lehigh handed Palmerton its first loss of the season with a 3-1 Colonial League win in eight innings.

Janssen Brown doubled among his three hits and also finished with an RBI for the Spartans (4-0), who stayed undefeated with the win. Luke Lea (RBI), Chris Fritts (run scored) and Matty O’Neill (run scored) all had two hits apiece. On the mound, Lea tossed seven innings, allowing four hits and one walk while striking out 10.

Leadoff hitter Daniel Lucykanish had two hits and a run scored for the Blue Bombers (6-1), while Cole Serfass had a hit and an RBI.

Bangor-Northwestern

Unbeaten Bangor utilized the long ball in a 19-1 Colonial League win over Northwestern in four innings.

The Slaters (6-0) got homers from Dylan Keith, Riley Stapp (three RBIs), Thomas Aulisi (three RBIs) and Cody Quagliato (two RBIs), and also got a huge four-hit performance from Hunter Rydell, who had an RBI and a run scored. Rydell struck out nine in four innings, allowing two hits.

Keith also doubled and finished with two RBIs and a pair of runs scored. Blake Kornafel doubled among his two hits and finished with two RBIs and two runs scored.

Joshua Farber had both hits, including a double and an RBI, for the Tigers (3-4).

Tri-Valley-Weatherly

Kameron Wetzel tossed a one-hitter and struck out 11 as Tri-Valley rolled to a 15-0 Schuylkill League victory over Weatherly.

The Bulldogs gave Wetzel all the support he needed with a seven-run first, and then put the mercy-rule into play with an eight-run fifth.

Jake Tietsworth and Caden Leonard both had three this for Tri-Valley. Tietsworth also scored three runs and knocked in two.

Jack James’ fourth-inning single was the lone Weatherly hit.

TRACK & FIELD

Pleasant Vy-ES South

Pleasant Valley and East Stroudsburg South split their Eastern Pennsylvania Conference meet.

The Cavalier boys earned an 86-63 victory, while the Bears captured a 91-59 decision in the girls competition.

Danielle Boland claimed three events (800, 1600, 3200) to lead the PV girls, while Reese Ruggiero added a pair of wins (triple jump, pole vault). Other firsts came from Nemani Moon (400), Kristen Lawrence (300 hurdles), Rylee Ruggiero (high jump), Mattison Hyland (long jump) and Nora Jones (discus).

In boys action, South earned wins in 10 of the 15 individual events to help gain the victory. The Bears’ Julian Canela took both the discus and shot put, while other PV firsts came from Jarael Moore (200), Edward Lauritsen (3200) and Michael Meyers (high jump).

Strong doubles play helped Blue Mountain hand Lehighton its first loss of the season with a 3-2 victory.

The Eagles (1-4) swept both doubles matches, with the teams of Cayden Gavalis and Gunesh Can and Chase Sivak and Adam Kulbitsky each posting wins. Ethan Faust also recorded a win at No. 3 singles.

Bayto Cokrilja and Bekim Cokrilja both had wins at Nos. 1 and 2 singles for the Indians (6-1).
