Two Lehighton men have been charged with the theft of $550 worth of aluminum gutters from a West Penn Township business.
Michael Thomas Everett, 47, and Travis Noel Everett, 45, allegedly stole the gutters on Feb. 13 from Patriot Seamless Gutters, 43 Overlook Drive.
They took the gutters to J.W. Zaprazny, New Ringgold, where they sold them as scrap.
The owner caught the pair on video, which he posted on Facebook, helping West Penn Township police catch them.
Police went to Zaprazny’s and watched the business’ security video. The video showed the men in the same vehicle as was on the video from Patriot Seamless Gutters.
A warrant was issued, and the Everetts were apprehended on March 7.
They are each charged with theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, and criminal conspiracy.
They were arraigned before District Judge Andrew J. Serena, Orwigsburg. Michael Thomas Everett was jailed under $1,000 percentage bail; Travis Noel Everett was jailed under $5,000 percentage bail.
