St. Luke’s expands services in Monroe
It was standing room only at St. Luke’s Smithfield Gateway Health Center in Smithfield Township Tuesday morning at the center’s ribbon cutting.
At 40,000 square feet, the center will officially open Monday and offer an array of outpatient health care services. The center is conveniently located at 125 Smithfield Lane in East Stroudsburg, along Route 209 and just minutes off Interstate 80.
“It has been a long time planning,” said Donald Seiple, president of St. Luke’s - Monroe campus.
“So when you see these types of facilities open, they take a lot of work and so to see all the people in the room who have really helped us get to where we are today who are going to bring this building to life and continue to serve this community into the future.”
“The Smithfield Gateway Health Center is part of St. Luke’s continued commitment to expand care close to home for the residents of Monroe County,” says Don Seiple, president, St. Luke’s Monroe Campus.
“At this state-of-the-art facility, we will provide patients with the high-quality health care they deserve and have come to expect from St. Luke’s University Health Network.”
Seiple thanked everyone for their leadership and support and everyone involved in designing and constructing this beautiful office.
“We’re excited to offer a full array of neuro rehab services, including physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy to the residents of Monroe County,” Seiple said. “This state-of-the-art office will be our 56th office in physical therapy at St. Luke’s network.”
The center will have its sixth dedicated neuro rehab office.
“We will be bringing our nationally ranked patient outcomes to this new office and we’ll be able to offer rehab services to patients with a variety of neurological conditions, including Parkinson’s, MS, concussion strokes or others,” Seiple said.
The Smithfield Gateway Health Center will blend new practices and services with several that are relocating to the site, giving patients and providers access to the expertise, stability and strength of St. Luke’s University Health Network.
The practices that are relocating to the center are:
St. Luke’s Medical Associates of Monroe County (will be renamed as St. Luke’s Smithfield Primary Care); St. Luke’s obstetrics and gynecology associates; St. Luke’s Pocono Pediatrics; St. Luke’s Dermatology; St. Luke’s Pulmonary Associates of Monroe and St. Luke’s Laboratory Services – Smithfield Gateway.
New practices and services that will be located at St. Luke’s Smithfield Gateway Health Center include: St. Luke’s Center for Diabetes & Endocrinology; St. Luke’s Smithfield Gateway Women’s Imaging Center; St. Luke’s Occupational Medicine; Physical Therapy at St. Luke’s – Smithfield Gateway; St. Luke’s Imaging Services (walk-in X-ray) and St. Luke’s Care Now – Smithfield Gateway (walk-in care; no appointment needed)
St Luke’s Care Now and Walk-in X-ray hours are: Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Walk- in lab hours are: Monday through Friday 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 7 a.m. to noon.
