St. Luke’s Carbon Campus in Franklin Township has devised a plan to prevent continued sewer blockages.

Supervisors on Tuesday unanimously approved an agreement with St. Luke’s Hospital regarding maintenance of traps.

The township was provided an estimated budget for the sanitary sewer design revision of $77,349.

There were problems with towelettes, rags passing into the sewer system from St. Luke’s Carbon Campus.

The plan is to install an in-line basket trap system to be placed on the hospital’s property to prevent continued sewer blockages.
