State police at Lehighton - Drugs/DUI

State police at Lehighton reported on the following driving under the influence and drug cases:

• Ralph Bloom, 55, of Reading was charged with possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop they made at 10:08 p.m. March 1.

Police said they made the arrest after stopping him for traffic violations while driving a 2000 Ford F-150 at the intersection of Interchange Road and Allen Street in Franklin Township.

• A 52-year-old Gilbert man is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance following a traffic stop made by state police.

Police said they stopped the man at 12:55 a.m. March 8 for a Motor Vehicle Code violation while he was driving a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 at the intersection of Corner and Gilbert roads in Chestnuthill Township and found him to be under the influence.

• A 21-year-old Lansford man is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance and drug possession after a traffic stop made by state police.

Police said they halted the vehicle for a Motor Vehicle Code violation on West Bertsch Street in Lansford, after which time he was found to be in possession of drugs and showed signs of impairment.

• A 57-year-old Gilbert man was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance after a traffic stop conducted by state police.

Police said they pulled over the 2022 Mazda at the intersection of Route 209 and McIlhaney Road in Chestnuthill Township for violations of Title 75.

Police did not release the names of the drivers.
