Jessica Tirpak’s fun idea at election time is bringing smiles from coast to coast.
The Tuscarora mom thought it’d be a novelty to dress her 2-year-old son Hunter to resemble Donald Trump.Truth is, the toddler already bears a resemblance to the real estate mogul, given his full head of blondish or light brown hair. All Tirpak needed to do was give those thick locks a comb-over and dress the tyke in a suit and tie. The result, Baby Trump.“I thought it’d be cute. I dressed him up and we took him to the Mohegan Sun rally and he was walking around and high-fiving the people,” she says.Little Hunter enjoyed the spotlight, even if he doesn’t really know what’s going on.“He really got into it,” she says. There was some purpose behind the gimmick. The Tirpaks support the Trumpster and felt it’s time to inject some smiles into what’s been a lot of heaviness.“Everything is so negative,” says Tirpak. “We’re losing sight of what it is.”A Wilkes-Barre television station picked up on Baby Trump’s antics and recently aired a segment on the nightly news. In addition, photos of Baby Trump from Tirpak’s Facebook page have gone viral. The family has been inundated with messages and comments. On Wednesday, Tirpak provided this update on her Facebook page: “NBC has asked to air the Baby Trump story on all the news affiliates across the country. We are so excited to have our little guy bring a fun and positive story to Trump’s campaign.”Regardless of the outcome of the election, Baby Trump is providing smiles far beyond Schuylkill County, even prompting some to wonder if there might be a Baby Hillary out there.
