State police at the Frackville barracks said the driver of a vehicle that struck the rear of a tractor trailer at 4:37 p.m. Feb. 8 on Interstate 81 in Kline Township fled the scene.

Police said the vehicle was southbound when it attempted to enter the left lane that was occupied by the rig, operated by Will Thomas, 48, of Grovertown, Georgia.

Police said he hit the rig’s back passenger side tire, then fled southbound.
