Blue Mountain Resort had a fun-filled Saturday, including two hours of free snow tubing, with representatives from local fire companies, ambulances, St. Luke’s Health Network, and state police on hand.
The Lehighton Ambulance Company answered questions and taught CPR.
Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission officers explained their role in handling fishing, boating and amphibian regulations.
Children were allowed to climb on the firetrucks.
Junior Firefighter Ben Cornmesser, 14, said he was “excited to begin learning how to clear a room.”
Free hot chocolate and hot dogs were available.
John Nespoli, president of St. Luke’s University Health Network Carbon, and Barb Green, president of Blue Mountain Resort, also went snow tubing.
Aria Eventov, 10, celebrated her birthday with her family and friends. She has enjoyed skiing since she was 4 as “it’s fun to go to the top of the mountain.”
Aquashicola and Palmerton firefighters joined in the fun of snow tubing.
