Lehighton sophomore Timothy Arace participated in the 2023 District 10 Chorus Festival at Bangor Area High School recently.

The two-day vocal music festival capped off with a concert on Jan. 13.

Arace was the only student from Lehighton and Carbon County picked following an audition that took place in November at Parkland High School.

He was joined by other students from Lehigh, Monroe, Schuylkill, Berks and Northampton counties.

Forty schools were represented with 216 students participating.

The guest conductor of the festival was Dr. Heather Buchanon, professor of music and director of choral music studies at Montclair State University in New Jersey.
